These Golden rules have guided several students towards success and excellence. Individuals have experienced positive changes in their personality for life. We at Dogra SSB Coaching will walk you through these Golden Rules, make these your habit and ensure that you also are a winner in all fields of life.
- Placed in any situation, you should be able to find out what is the most important, less important and the least important aspect in it. You should tackle these aspects priority wise and your efforts to tackle each aspect should be proportionate to its importance.
- Only those persons rise in life, (i.e. become Officers, executives, and managers) who go on improving upon themselves appreciably and continuously.
- Mature people do not take criticism as an attack on their self-image. If somebody criticizes you, he is either right or wrong. If he is right, change yourself immediately. If he is wrong, just ignore the criticism without getting irritated or without irritating the criticizer.
- While solving a problem attack its root cause, which leads to superior and lasting solutions. Act like a doctor and not like a compounder. A compounder gives medicine to bring down the temperature of a patient. A doctor gives medicine to remove the cause of the temperature.
- Whenever you pose a problem to anybody, suggest a solution also.
- Whenever you get a better idea from anybody, accept and adopt it immediately, irrespective of the fact that it has come from a senior, an equal, a junior, a child or even an enemy. Do not keep on harping on an idea, which you now find inferior.
- Mature people are calm and steady. They do not irritate others and do not get irritated by others even when provoked.
- Only those people succeed who make efforts. Only those people make efforts, who are hopeful and optimistic. Only those people are hopeful who are lively in nature. Therefore always wear a smile on your face. People with sad or serious face tend to look at the dark side of the picture.
- While convincing others do not simply say what is to be done or what is right. They will get convinced only when you give as many arguments as possible.
- Those who render help to others become executives and officers. Those who seek help from others become subordinates.
- Your common sense is your best friend. Depend on it.
- Take charge of the situation no matter whether you are at the top, middle or the lowest position in the group.
- While solving a problem do not get emotionally involved in it. Decisions and solutions arrived at under emotions are generally wrong.
- You must have your own personal opinion on each and every subject in this world.
- Concern for others is an extremely important quality in a person. Those who show concern for others are popular and rise high in life. Those who do not show concern for others are generally hated people and manage to attain only low level positions in life.
- Only men with ideas have contributed in the progress of mankind. As such those who have variety of ideas are respected and rise high in life.
- Those who think of routine and ordinary problems, become ordinary people. Those who think of serious and higher level problems contribute towards the benefits of the society around them and rise high in life.
- Insight into one`s own self is very important. Only those people improve who know themselves well. A person, who does not know his good qualities, will not be able to make best use of them in life. A person who does not know his bad qualities will not be able to remove them and consequently will not improve.
- A person with high self-confidence is able to hide his weak points and highlight his strong points. A person with low self-confidence exposes his weak qualities and fails to highlight his good qualities.
-
Decision making involves two dimensions:
- Quick or slow and
- Right or wrong.
- If you form a habit of taking quick, right and reasonable decisions, your self-confidence will automatically go up.
- Officers are problem solving machines.
- Officers are a combination of hard work and ideas.
- Those who work for the team are superior to those who work for themselves. Self-interest has to be abandoned so that the group goal can be reached.
- When it is a question of opinion, change the other person by giving more arguments. When it is a question of adjustment, change yourself.
- It is not a big thing not to know, but it is a big thing not to know where from to know.
-
Subordinates arrive at the problem and stop there. Officers arrive at the problem and solve it.
- Higher level goals cannot be attained by a single person. One has to learn to cooperate with others to achieve higher level goals.
- As soon as you raise the level of competition, level of cooperation automatically goes up.
- Those who control the circumstances become officers. Those who get controlled by the circumstances become subordinates.
- Duties are to be performed and rights are to be asserted. But it is better to perform duties before asserting rights.
